A TRIBUTE TO A SOLDIER WHO DIED WHILE SERVING ON OPERATIONS WITH MAMBA STRIKE FORCE

He was known by many and his sudden passing has been deeply felt by everyone here at Mamba.
His natural style and flair let to swift promotion to the Sebenza Special Unit in just over a year.

A highly professional and able Officer, it was his personal qualities that really set him apart, loyal, and diligent with a real zest for life.
He provided an outstanding example of everything an Officer should be – his ability to walk into a room and lift everyone’s spirit is something that he will be truly remembered for.
Godfrey was a proud family man, a trusted friend, a selfless team player and a total professional who had the respect and admiration of every one of us.
While we will mourn his passing, he will not be forgotten, we will remember the difference he made in so many ways and how, for us his colleagues and friends, he helped make us and Edenvale better every day.
It was a real privilege to know him.
