We have received reports that potential hijackers are now throwing paint onto vehicles from overhead bridges. At night, the paint looks just like big drops of wate,r but when you put your wipers on the paint smudges all over your windscreen. You are forced to pull over and stop on the side of the road because you can’t see out your window and that is when the hijackers strike.
Remember that you can only be hijacked when your vehicle is stationary. If you are ever in a situation where anything is thrown onto your windscreen do not put your wipers on. Drive to a safe public place, like a police station or petrol station where you can safely clean your windscreen.
THUMBS UP TO OUR SECURITY OFFICES
Well done to Willem and Jaconia who arrested a suspect in Consalves Street for theft. The suspect had broken into the client’s caravan. The suspect was handed over to the SAPS and the stolen goods were recovered. Well done to Pierre in the Control Room who handled the call so quickly and efficiently.
